General Information on the Workshop
Spinal Microsurgery 10 is a three-day, hands-on cadaver course, where participants can receive training on microsurgical approaches to the spine.
The course is divided into two parts:
- scientific lectures
- hands-on course
The scientific lectures will take place in the Orthopaedic Clinic at München-Harlaching. The hands-on course, in which the participants can practice the procedures themselves under expert guidance, will be held in the Institute of Anatomy of the Ludwig-Maximilians-University.
During the hands-on course 10 workstations will be placed at the disposal of the participants. Each of these workstations is equipped with a surgical microscope, a high speed drill, a suction device and a wide range of instruments and implants from the companies sponsoring the event. In small groups with four participants in each, the surgical approaches can be tried out in realistic surgical conditions. The cadavers are conserved using the Thiel fixation technique.
Terms of Booking
You can find the terms and conditions for course registration on our download form. Please complete the form legibly and send it to the given address. After receipt of the course fee, we will send you a confirmation of your participation and additional information.
Shuttle bus
We have organized a shuttle bus to transport you between the locations. For the scientific lectures, the bus will take you from the Institute of Anatomy to the Orthopaedic Clinic.
Hotels
Please note that the course fee does not include any overnight expenses. As the number of rooms available in Munich during fairs and exhibitions is often very limited, we would recommend you to make a hotel reservation at an early date. We have reserved a number of rooms for you in three hotels close to the Institute of Anatomy. If you prefer a different hotel, we would recommend you to look for a hotel near the Institute of Anatomy as this is the point of departure for the shuttle bus.
