Intraoperative tumor bed irradiation.
Intrabeam has moved to the forefront of intraoperative radiation delivery for cranial tumors. The surgical support system enables the neurosurgeon to place the applicator and X-ray source precisely in the tumor bed. There is no exposure to radiation while placing the source, and, immediately after treatment, the radiation is turned off, and the system is removed.
