Software Information
This software update contains the following important enhancements designed to improve overall clinical value and workflow efficiency:
- 50% larger topography maps (on screen and in printouts)
- Improved ability to image irregular corneas such as corneal transplant and keratoconus
- Streamlined software navigation including shortcuts to easily change color scales, maps, and exams
- Compressed (.zip) export files for emailing exams
- Updated electronic User Manual with full explanations of all enhancements
Installation Requirements
- ATLAS Model 9000 Topographer with Software Version 1.0.1
- A minimum of 125 MB free disk space on your PC
- If downloading to a PC, a USB Drive or writable CD drive is required
Software Download Steps:
1. Click the Download button on this page to start the download.
2. Select Save to save the program to disk.
3. If not downloading directly to the instrument, copy the downloaded files to a USB drive or CD-ROM disc.
| WARNING: Before installing any new software you should completely archive the instrument database. For instructions refer to the Archive Management chapter in the ATLAS User Manual. Failure to archive the database could result in loss of patient data or the patient database. |
Installation Steps on your Topographer:
1. If the ATLAS Model 9000 instrument software is running, exit the ATLAS software by selecting File > Exit, or click the at upper right, and then select Yes to exit.
2. Insert the USB drive or CD that contains the downloaded file into the USB port or CD drive on the instrument.
3. Run the Installer.exe file to begin the installation
4. The Welcome dialog appears. Click Next. The License Agreement dialog appears.
5. Read the license agreement and select the radio button next to I accept the terms of the license agreement. Click Next. The Ready to Install the Program dialog appears.
6. Click Install. The Installation Complete dialog appears when installation is complete.
7. Click Finish to exit the installation program.
Optional Installation Steps
The ATLAS Software download includes the updated English User Manual. To download other language versions, select from the links below and place the PDF file in the c:\Program Files\CZM\ATLAS folder on the instrument hard drive.
User Manual Download (PDF)
1. After completing this software upgrade, Carl Zeiss Meditec strongly recommends creating a new hard drive image in the event that a software recovery is required in the future. See the Carl Zeiss Meditec System Recovery Tool (Acronis) Instructions that were included with your Instrument.
2. Create a new Version 2.0 backup of Configuration Files (see the ATLAS User Manual for more information).
